Dr WIlliam Evans is currently an Associate Professor of Psychology at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, USA, and a Colonel in the United States Air Force (Air National Guard), serving as a military chaplain. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina (Ph.D.), Duke University (M.Div.) and Wofford College (B.S.). He is the author of numerous articles and co-author of three books: Thriving! (2008), Becoming a Community Counselor (2007), and Inspiring Leadership (2006). He and his wife, Cynthia share in parenting three children and currently reside in Massanutten, Virginia, USA. Dr Evans will be delivering the Presidential Address at this year's Meaning Conference.

In the conference presidential address, Dr. Bill Evans will speak about his vision for INPM. While sharing personal stories and anecdotes, Evans will illustrate Dr. Viktor Frankl’s three principles for discovering personal meaning and how he seeks to promote the search for personal meaning and holistic health with every person he meets. Included in the talk will be examples from his psychology of adulthood, psychology of leadership, death and dying (thanatology), career development and grief counseling courses, as well as professional experiences from pastoral counseling and military chaplaincy over a 24 year career.
