Research/Interests: I am working in the field of character/moral education research in Russia and in America. Meaning is an important thing to integrate into character education programs. It takes a skilled teacher to do it well. But first it takes recognition as an important category of reflection for both moral development and education.

Research/Interests: I have used the PIL-test and the EPI (Eysencks) to study the relations between the variables ”experience of meaning of life” and extraversion/introversion and neuroticism/stability. The conclusions of the study is that there is no significant relationship between PIL-scores and extraversion/introversion scores but significant relationship between PIL-scores and neuroticism/stability scores. The reliability of the instrument is rather high, r=0,87. I want to go on studying different aspects of the problem of meaning of life and the PIL-scale as an instrument for use.

Research/Interests: I am a graduate student who is interested in how meaning-centered therapy, especially logotherapy can apply to a range of psychopathology. I am particularly interested in using logotherapy with religious clients and with clients with OCD. Stress and cognitive-appraisal models are also of great interest to me; models by Lazarus & Folkman to me only seem to touch on some existential issues; I believe much research is needed on new measures of meaningful coping, etc.
