Paul T. P. Wong  wins the Annual Global Love of Lives Medal

Dr. Paul T. P. Wong, Professor of Psychology at Tyndale University College will receive the 12th Annual Global Love of Lives Award from the Ta-Kuan Chow Cultural & Educational Foundation at a luncheon reception during the Meaning Conference at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Toronto, July 24, 2008. Ambassador David Lee and other dignitaries  from Taiwan and Canada will be present for this event.

Internationally known as the Nobel Prize for humanistic and compassionate contributions, the award is given to Prof. Wong this year for his exceptional achievement in founding the International Network on Personal Meaning, the International Society for Existential Psychology and Psychotherapy, and the Meaning-Centered Counselling Institute, which have greatly enhanced our understanding of the role of meaning in enhancing the quality of life in stressful and extreme situations. More specifically, through his teaching, research, writing, and his own life story, he has inspired hope, courage and zest for life for all those who are fighting cancer or facing terminal illness.
