I developed a method of using anger as a window through which men can access, own and deal with the emotional drivers of their anger (mostly pain, fear and a growing sense of powerlessness), plus a practical system of using physical, emotional and behavioural cues to anger levels - enabling different behaviour choices to be made much earlier. I call the method "Dealing with anger to prevent violence", and I have a book out in the shops which describes the process so men can follow it and use it. The book is 'DEALING WITH ANGER: Self-help solutions for men.' Practioners are using it as an aid to counselling and as a medium for groupwork with angry and violent men.'"What's that got to do with 'meaning' work?" I discovered this week, via Frankl's 'Man's Search for Meaning' that Dealing With Anger clears a similar sort of space as do 'paradoxical intention' and dereflection' in Logotherapy. That space is then available for exploring questions of 'meaning'. So that's where I'm at now: I started off years ago with values & ethics, then went into emotional integrative work, now I'm attempting the integrating link via meaning. I'd like to collaborate.
