This Special Issue is devoted to the proceedings of the 9th Biennial International Meaning Conference, held July 28-31, 2016 in Toronto, Canada. The conference theme was on “Spirituality, Self-Transcendence, and Second-Wave Positive Psychology.” Some of the presentations have been summarized in Vos et al. (2017). Articles will continually be added to this special issue as soon as the review process is completed. I would like to acknowledge Dr. Gordon Medlock for co-editing this special issue.
This issue features six submitted articles on topics ranging from depression, dependent personality disorder, social marginalization, and meaning (or meaninglessness) from an existential perspective.
This issue features eight submitted articles on topics ranging from interventions such as Religious CBT, Meditation and Mindfulness, and Social-Education to meaning and positive psychology. Note: Paul T. P. Wong’s article “Existential Positive Psychology” was originally scheduled to be published in the second edition of Encyclopedia of Positive Psychology; unfortunately, the publisher decided not to go forward with the second edition. Therefore, this paper is published here.
