Description

Latin America is a broad term used to describe much of the western hemisphere; within these countries, political structures vary greatly. This paper will discuss the current political climates of Venezuela and Brazil, as both countries have tumultuous and violent atmospheres. Using an existential-humanistic perspective, this paper will consider the ways these environments have affected the lens through which said citizens experience the world. Specifically, existential anxieties will be considered, as well as existential-humanistic treatment interventions that would address the specific presentations of Venezuelan and Brazilian citizens.
