José Martínez-Romero Gandos was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1940.
He began studying Psychology at UNBA (Argentina) where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree. He opted for the curricular contents related to Existential Psychology and Logotherapy. He has carried out his professional work for 32 years in the Argentine Republic and 18 years in Spain, where he lives and works.
He completed Doctorate studies in Psychology at the Universidad del Salvador (Buenos Aires) and at the University of A Corunna (Galiciaé – Spain), specializing in migrations. In Spain, he assisted women victims of domestic violence and migrants. He specialized in group therapy and published the book “Logoterapia Grupal” (Group Logotherapy), 2020, Editorial Academica Española.
Currently, he chairs the Galician Association of Existential Analysis and Logotherapy (Spain) and supervises cases of psychological practice and is member of several institutions related to Existential Analysis and Logotherapy. As well as authoring a book on Group Logotherapy, he has published book chapters and articles in specialized magazines.
